Penggunaan INTERCUT

INTERCUT

• digunakan untuk rentetan scene pendek yg berulang alih dari scene A ke B ke A semula dan ke B semula secara pantas; atau lebih dari 2 scene
• perkataan INTERCUT digunakan pada heading (antara scene). contoh 

INT. SHERRI'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

Sherri starts disrobing in front of her open bedroom window.

INT. LENNY'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

Lenny gets up to cross to the fridge to get a beer. He looks out his window and catches a glimpse of Sherri across the courtyard. He freezes, watching her.

INTERCUT BETWEEN LENNY AND SHERRI

Sherri sits on the bed and unbuttons her double-breasted suit jacket. Lenny moves closer to the window for a better vantage point. Sherri stands, hopping a few feet, trying to step out of her skirt. Lenny, eyes glued to Sherri, moves to keep her in view. He slams his bare footinto a dumbbell on the floor. 

LENNY

Ow!

Sherri hears the yelp and looks in Lenny's direction.

Lenny sees Sherri and DROPS from her view.

EXT. JOHNSON HOUSE

Robert is at the water pump. His shirt is off and he is washing himself. (WE INTERCUT THE TWO.)

Francesca finds herself staring, a bit open mouthed. He has a muscular, firm body. She watches how the water cascades over his body. How he seems so unashamed, so "in his skin," moving with such strength and grace.

Robert pauses and looks out over the open pasture. The cold water feels good. Since the pump is the back of the house, hidden from the road, no one can see him. He decides to take off his pants and cool himself further.

Francesca begins watching this in shock until she has to literally pull herself away from the window with such a force that she rams herself into a chest of drawers, knocking over an array of perfume bottles and a mirror. She deftly catches a falling bottle and freezes. Taking a breath, she pulls herself together.

Francesca enters with her new dress, groceries and wine as the PHONE RINGS. She puts everything down to answer. 

FRANCESCA 

Hello? 

Intercut ROBERT at a pay phone. 

ROBERT 

It's Robert. 

FRANCESCA 

Oh, hi. Look, I'm running 

a little late, but I'll still... 

ROBERT 

(w/difficulty) 

Listen, don't take this 

the wrong way but, 

I'm wondering if this is such 
a good idea. 

Francesca's heart sinks. 

FRANCESCA 

Oh.
